Wake Up, Girls! - S01

"Wake Up, Girls!" follows seven girls from Sendai, Miyagi, as they come together to form the idol group "Wake Up, Girls! (WUG)" and strive to reach the top. Managed by the small local agency Green Leaves Entertainment, WUG faces numerous challenges but eventually defeats the nationally famous group "I-1 club" at the Idol Festival, earning their place as top idols. Yet, with the idol industry in decline, their newfound success doesn’t guarantee smooth sailing-instead, the girls continue putting in steady, hard work. At the same time, three middle schoolers in Sendai-Hayashi Ayumi, Morishima Otome, and Atsugi Itsuka-find themselves increasingly drawn to the dream of becoming idols.
