After a painful rejection, a dejected Youta Moteuchi walks home feeling hopeless. A small, run-down video store catches his attention, and on a whim, he buys a "video girl" tape designed to comfort lonely hearts. When he tries to play it on his malfunctioning VCR, a stunning girl bursts out of his TV and tumbles onto his bed. She introduces herself as Ai Amano, and at first, she seems like the perfect chance for Youta to finally find love-but her personality, warped by the damaged VCR, proves far more volatile than expected. Still, despite her quirks, Ai sincerely vows to help Youta discover happiness and true love. "Video Girl Ai" follows Youta’s ordinary teenage life as he navigates the ups and downs of romance. With Ai-his unpredictable, virtual guardian angel-by his side, he sets out to find the girl he’s been dreaming of.
