The ruthless Gigatron and his Destronger army have invaded Earth, aiming to plunder the planet's energy reserves to power their ongoing war against the Autobots. If they succeed, the Destrongers could gain the upper hand, wiping out the Autobots and setting their sights on universal conquest. As part of their plan, they capture Dr. Ohnishi, Earth's foremost expert on energy and natural resources. When Dr. Ohnishi's son, Koji, is contacted by Fire Convoy, he joins the Autobot on a desperate mission to save his father. Despite their efforts, Fire Convoy and his allies fail to free the scientist. Now, Koji and the Autobots must find a way to stop Gigatron's forces, rescue Dr. Ohnishi, and prevent Earth's resources from falling into enemy hands.
