As part of their plan, they capture Dr. Ohnishi, Earth's foremost expert on energy and natural resources. When Dr. Ohnishi's son, Koji, is contacted by Fire Convoy, he joins the Autobot on a desperate mission to save his father. Despite their efforts, Fire Convoy and his allies fail to free the scientist.
