Toward the Terra

Five hundred years after Earth's environment collapsed and the planet was renamed Terra, humans have built a rigidly logical society in space. Supercomputers govern all decisions, children are artificially bred and randomly assigned to parents, and at age 14, everyone must take an "Adulthood Exam." The greatest threat to this order is the "Mu"-humans who have evolved into espers. On his birthday, Jomy Marquis Shin prepares for his Adulthood Exam, only to discover his childhood memories will be erased. Before that can happen, he hears the voice of Soldier Blue, the Mu's leader, urging him to preserve his past. Fleeing on a Mu ship, Jomy learns the horrifying truth: he is an esper, and the government has marked him for execution. As Soldier Blue nears death, he passes his memories to Jomy and names him the Mu's new leader. Now, Jomy must decide-keep the Mu in hiding or wage war against humanity to reclaim their lost home, Terra.
