Tonari no Yokai-san - S01

In the town of Engamori, humans, yokai, and gods have coexisted for centuries, all trying to live quiet, ordinary lives. Buchio, a 20-year-old cat, unexpectedly transforms into a nekomata-a feline yokai-near the end of his life. While this change lets him remain with his human family, it also leaves him wondering why he evolved and what the strange new abilities he’s developed truly mean. Meanwhile, Mutsumi "Muu-chan" Sugimoto, a young girl in elementary school, grows closer to Jirou, a crow-like tengu yokai. Jirou slowly fills the absence left by her late father. At first, neither knows how to express their feelings, but over time, they form a bond where they watch over and support each other.
