Ichigo Momomiya hoped her date with Masaya Aoyama would end more romantically-not with her passing out after a strange vision of a cat merging with her. The next day, things get weirder when she suddenly craves fish and acts like a cat. When Masaya is attacked by a monster, she transforms into Mew Ichigo, a magical girl with cat ears, and saves him. Soon after, researchers Ryou Shirogane and Keiichiro Akasaka explain they injected her with Iriomote Cat DNA to turn her into a warrior against alien threats. Though Ichigo fights these monsters, the burden of saving the world alone is overwhelming. Luckily, she discovers four other girls like her exist, and she must find them before the aliens overrun Earth.
