In the year 2220, Earth faces a looming crisis as an expanding black hole threatens the planet. A desperate plan is set in motion to evacuate over 300 million people. When the newest transport fleet comes under attack, the Space Battleship Yamato rushes to its defense. The ship is now under the command of Susumu Kodai, joined by his daughter Miyuki-the child of Susumu and Yuki.
