This Monster Wants to Eat Me - S01

Hinako Yaotose struggles with thoughts of drowning in the sea, haunted by the memory of her family's tragic accident. Miko Yashiro is her only friend, and while Hinako puts on a cheerful front, loneliness drags her back into despair whenever Miko is gone. That summer, she encounters a strange girl with eyes as vast and mesmerizing as the ocean-someone who captivates her in a way no one else has. One day, while distractedly searching for the girl, Hinako is dragged beneath the waves by a monstrous sea creature. She wakes to find the girl-Shiori Oumi-standing over her, having slain the beast in a terrifying, inhuman form. Yet Shiori's true nature is no savior; like any predator, she only wants to devour Hinako. The next morning, Shiori appears in Hinako's class as a new transfer student. For the first time in a long while, Hinako smiles. At last, she has found someone who might grant her silent wish for death.
