Chiharu Kashima, the captain of the Wizard Bureau's Crisis Countermeasures Division, is one of the rare few who can wield magic. During his regular visits to his favorite bar, he meets Toyohi Utsumi, a cheerful man who has always dreamed of becoming a wizard. Toyohi is thrilled to encounter a real magic-user, but his fascination soon turns into something deeper-he confesses his love for Kashima. Though their relationship develops quickly, Kashima struggles with doubts. He worries that his magic defines him entirely and that Toyohi only loves him for his abilities, not for who he truly is.
