They Were Eleven

The Interstellar Alliance brought peace to most of the universe’s planets, and in its wake, they founded the Cosmo Academy-the most prestigious school in existence. Graduates are practically guaranteed any job they want, but getting in is another matter. The entrance exams are held only once every three years, and competition is brutal. Lane Tadatos, a Terran, has made it to the final stage. He’s placed in a group of 10 and sent to the Esperanza, a ship stranded in orbit. Their final test? Survive 53 days aboard with no outside contact-only an emergency button to forfeit. But when the examinees count heads, they realize something’s wrong. There are 11 people on the ship. One of them doesn’t belong.
