The Unwanted Undead Adventurer - S01

Rentt Faina is a seasoned but struggling adventurer who meets his end in a labyrinth when a dragon kills him in its lair. To his surprise, he awakens as a skeleton-the weakest form of undead. As he battles other monsters in the dungeon, he learns that defeating them earns him experience, allowing him to evolve into stronger undead forms, some even regaining flesh. This discovery gives him a new purpose: to keep evolving until he reaches the highest undead rank, a vampire, which is nearly human in appearance. Forced to conceal his undead nature beneath an unremovable mask, Rentt reinvents himself with the help of Lorraine Vivier, a retired adventurer and skilled researcher who takes him in. Borrowing her surname, he starts anew as a novice adventurer, determined to fulfill his lifelong goal of reaching mithril-class status. However, he must tread carefully-if the adventurers’ guild discovers his true nature, they’ll hunt him down as the monster he’s become.
