The Relative Worlds

Shin Hazama closed himself off after his mother’s unexplained death during his childhood. With his father buried in research, his only support is Kotori Izumi, his kind and well-liked childhood friend-and the daughter of his father’s employer. As their third year of high school nears its end, Shin and Kotori start to move forward together, both in life and love. Then Shin’s father dies suddenly too. Before they can process the loss, they discover the truth behind both deaths when they cross paths with agents from a high-tech, dystopian Japan in a parallel world. Among them is Jin, Shin’s "relative self," who is fighting against the humanoid weapons Miko and Niko. Because their lives are tied, Jin has two missions: protect Shin to ensure their survival, and kill Kotori to overthrow her alternate self, Princess Kotoko-his sworn enemy and the murderer of his parents. Faced with this harsh reality, Shin and Kotori must confront their feelings for each other, even if the world they know is about to end.
