High school student Koyuki "Koyun" Hikawa comes across as intimidating and unapproachable to most of her classmates. In truth, she’s just shy and often overthinks things because of her difficult middle school experiences. But when she meets two boys at school-Minato Amamiya and Youta Hino-her life begins to shift. Like her friend Miki Azumi, the boys aren’t afraid to reach out to Koyun and get to know the real her. As Koyun spends more time with Miki, Minato, and Youta, she wrestles with the joy of her new friendships and her lingering fear of growing too close to others. Behind the scenes, each of her friends faces their own quiet struggles. Yet as the group moves through high school together, they slowly begin to open up and embrace the ups and downs of being teenagers.
