The Legend of Hei

Luo Xiaohei is a young monster who usually appears as a small black cat. He lives freely in the forest until deforestation and human expansion drive him out, forcing him to search for a new home. Lost and struggling in the city, he meets Feng Xi, another monster who brings him to a remote island inhabited by a few other monsters. Xiaohei is thrilled at the prospect of a new home, but his stay is short-lived-Wuxian, a human Guild Executor, arrives on the island hunting Feng Xi. Feng Xi and the others escape by teleporting away, leaving Xiaohei alone with Wuxian. Despite his refusal to help the man who attacked his friends, Wuxian forces the black cat to accompany him to the Guild. As they journey together, Xiaohei begins to see the complex and shifting relationship between humans and monsters in a world that’s changing faster than ever.
