The Gymnastics Samurai - S01

Once a rising star in gymnastics, Joutarou Aragaki-known as "Samurai" for his distinctive hairstyle-faces a crushing setback after his wife’s death leaves him with a career-threatening shoulder injury. Five years later, he still trains relentlessly with the Japanese national team, but his efforts yield no improvement. His coach, Noriyuki Amakusa, suggests it’s time to retire. Determined to break the news to his spirited nine-year-old daughter, Rei, Joutarou takes her to Ego Wonderland. There, they meet a strange man calling himself Leonardo, a self-proclaimed ninja who tags along uninvited. Leonardo keeps interrupting Joutarou’s attempts to confess his decision to Rei. When Joutarou learns that Leonardo admires his gymnastics and wants to see him perform again, something changes. Instead of retiring, he shocks Japan by declaring his comeback. Now, Joutarou sets his sights on his greatest challenge yet-proving that gymnastics is still his true calling.
