The Dagger of Kamui

A young boy named Jiro returns home to find his mother and sister murdered. Wrongly blamed for their deaths, he escapes his village and encounters a priest named Tenkai, who forces him to kill a rogue ninja named Tarouza. After completing the task, Jiro trains under Tenkai to become a skilled assassin. Years later, he learns the truth: he was an orphan, and his real father was Tarouza, who had once served Tenkai before abandoning his mission after falling in love with an Ainu woman. Jiro also discovers a plot by the Shogunate to recover Captain Kidd’s lost treasure and use it to cut Japan off from the world. Guided by clues left by Tarouza, Jiro teams up with a female ninja, Oyuki, and a slave named Sam to journey to Russia and America in search of the treasure-hoping to turn it into a weapon of vengeance against Tenkai.
