Texhnolyze - S01

In the grim underground city of Lux, people live in constant fear under the control of warring criminal factions. Cut off from the surface, the gangs maintain their only connection to the outside world through mining "raffia," the rare resource that keeps the city alive. Unique to Lux, raffia is used to create "texhnolyze" implants-advanced cybernetic prosthetics that replace human limbs without rejection. The mysterious "Class" oversees research on these implants and controls raffia production, delegating authority to Organo, a group led by the self-righteous Keigo Oonishi. With his own texhnolyzed legs, Oonishi is said to hear the "voice of the city." The delicate power balance in Lux shatters when Kazuho Yoshii, a stranger with unknown motives, stirs chaos by turning the gangs against each other. Amid the turmoil, new figures emerge: Ichise, a former boxer mutilated by Organo and given texhnolyze prosthetics by Eriko "Doc" Kamata; and Ran, a young florist with visions of the future. As the city spirals into madness, Ichise and Ran become entangled in the most devastating crisis Lux has ever known.
