Takopi's Original Sin - S01

A squid-like being called a Happian leaves his home planet with a simple wish: to bring joy to the universe. When he arrives on Earth, he nearly falls into the hands of humans who want to capture him-until a quiet, unsmiling girl named Shizuka Kuze finds him. She feeds him and gives him the name Takopii. Grateful for her kindness, Takopii vows to do whatever it takes to make her happy. But it won’t be easy. Shizuka faces harsh bullying at school, has no father, and her mother is rarely around-though Takopii, being naive, doesn’t fully grasp the weight of her struggles. The one bright spot in Shizuka’s life is her dog, Chappy. Seeing their bond only deepens Takopii’s resolve to put a smile on her face. His efforts don’t always go as planned, but Takopii refuses to give up. Taking matters into his own tentacles, he tries to learn what makes humans happy-and in doing so, hopes to fulfill his mission of spreading happiness.
