Taisho Baseball Girls - S01

In 1925, the fourteenth year of the Taisho era, baseball remains a little-known sport in Japan, with only a handful of men’s teams. When a baseball player tells 14-year-old Akiko that women should stay home instead of attending school, she decides to prove him wrong by forming a team with her friend Koume. At a time when even running is considered improper for women, baseball is seen as "what the boys do," and the girls face countless challenges-finding enough players, convincing their parents, and learning the sport itself, which turns out to be far harder than they imagined.
