Ichinomiya Kantarou has always been able to see demons, a gift that left him isolated and bullied by others who couldn’t perceive them. Instead of fearing these creatures, he befriended them, growing deeply attached to their world. One day, he heard of the most powerful demon of all-the ogre-eating Tengu. Impressed by its unmatched strength, Kantarou resolved to find this legendary being, naming it Haruka in his mind. Despite years of searching, he never succeeded, turning instead to a life as a folklore writer and part-time demon hunter. Then, during one of his jobs, he caught a lead: rumors pointed to a nearby shrine where the ogre-eating Tengu might be sealed away.
