Black Jack

Black Jack is an unlicensed surgeon with a shadowy past. Accompanied by his young assistant Pinoko-who harbors strong feelings for him-he takes on obscure, bizarre, or even unheard-of medical cases. Though his fees are steep, his brilliance allows him to save nearly any patient, earning him a reputation among medical and scientific circles worldwide. A man of science at heart, he relies on evidence and logic, yet he repeatedly finds himself humbled by the unpredictable forces of love and nature, which defy the principles he lives by.
