Suzuka - S01

Yamato Akitsuki, a teenager from rural Hiroshima, moves to Tokyo to start high school. In exchange for a place to live, he helps his aunt and cousin run their bathhouse and the attached girls-only dormitory where he’ll be staying. On his way to meet them, he stops at a nearby school track and becomes captivated by a girl practicing her high jump. He soon learns the high jumper, Suzuka Asahina, is not only a resident of the dorm but also his neighbor. A talented and highly recruited track athlete, Suzuka attends the same high school as Yamato. She’s a perfectionist and dislikes his clumsy, easygoing nature, making their interactions tense. Wanting to impress her, Yamato joins the track team after realizing he has a knack for sprinting. As he trains with the team, bonds with classmates, and deals with the dorm’s rowdy college students, he pushes himself to become a better athlete-and a better match for Suzuka, even if it means running himself ragged.
