Pokémon - S22

One morning in the Kanto region, Satoshi receives an invitation from Professor Oak to attend the opening ceremony of Professor Sakuragi's new lab in Vermillion City. During the event, an alert interrupts the proceedings-a rare Pokémon has been spotted near the harbor. Eager to investigate, Satoshi and other trainers hurry to the scene, where they discover Lugia, a Legendary Pokémon, battling other challengers. Watching the other trainers' attempts, Satoshi directs Pikachu to hit Lugia with a Thunderbolt. Though the attack doesn't stop Lugia, it gives Satoshi the chance to leap onto its back. To his surprise, another boy named Gou does the same. Together, they cling to Lugia as it carries them on a strange journey across the ocean. After some time, Lugia drops them off safely, and the two return to Sakuragi Institute. Impressed by Gou's discoveries and Satoshi's quick thinking during their encounter, Professor Sakuragi asks them to become his research assistants. With this, their adventure begins-a journey that will take them through many regions, where they’ll encounter all kinds of Pokémon, even those capable of Gigantamaxing.
