Phoenix: Karma Chapter

Akanemaru, a talented sculptor, embarks on a quest to find inspiration for his greatest work-the mythical immortal bird, the Phoenix. During his travels, he crosses paths with Gaou, a one-eyed, one-armed bandit who despises the world and lashes out with violence. Despite Akanemaru’s kindness, Gaou attacks and steals from him before they part ways. Time passes, and the encounter slips into memory. Akanemaru gives up on his dream when duty forces him to take on a new task, while Gaou is struck by sudden misfortune-a cruel twist that alters both their fates. Unbeknownst to them, these events will bring them together again, but now as adversaries. Set in Japan’s Nara period, "Hi no Tori: Houou-hen" examines the delicate interplay of actions and their repercussions as two men are forced to face the weight of their past decisions.
