Penguindrum - S01

The Takakura family’s life is ruled by fate-a relentless cycle of happiness and heartbreak that moves from one wish to the next. After losing their parents, twin brothers Kanba and Shouma care for their frail younger sister, Himari, whose health is failing. When Himari is allowed a brief visit outside the hospital, her brothers take her to the aquarium to lift her spirits. But their fragile joy shatters when she collapses, seemingly succumbing to her illness. Then, against all odds, she revives-thanks to a strange penguin hat from the souvenir shop. Fate, however, isn’t finished with them yet. Himari’s revival comes with a price: something else now shares her body, demanding the brothers find the elusive "Penguin Drum" to keep her alive. Their desperate search pulls them into the tangled lives of others chasing the same prize, each hoping to claim their own destiny. As they unravel the threads of their past, the brothers must confront the shocking truths that bind them to this fateful game.
