Patema Inverted

Patema is a spirited girl who lives in an underground society with vast tunnel systems. Driven by the unexplained disappearance of a friend, she often explores the tunnels despite being scolded for it-her royal status makes such adventures risky. When she ventures into the "forbidden zone," a strange creature startles her, and she tumbles into what seems like an endless pit. Instead of falling to her death, she finds herself on the surface-a world where gravity is reversed. She begins plummeting toward the sky until Age, a disillusioned student from the oppressive nation of Aiga, catches her. Aiga's citizens are taught that "Inverts" like Patema are sinners doomed to be "swallowed by the sky," but Age rejects this propaganda and chooses to shield her. Their unexpected encounter sparks a journey as the two curious teens uncover the hidden truths of their worlds. "Sakasama no Patema" is a touching story about bridging divides and learning to live together.
