Over a century ago, astral mages, persecuted by the Empire, united to form the Nebulis Sovereignty under three founding families: Lou, Hydra, and Zoa. Led by Millavair Lou Nebulis VIII, the Sovereignty seeks to limit casualties in their war with the Empire-a stance opposed by the extremist Zoas. As the election for the next leader draws near, tensions between the families grow. The Zoas will stop at nothing to win, but their victory could plunge the world into a devastating war. Princess Aliceliese "Alice" Lou Nebulis XI has no choice but to work with any allies she can find to achieve her goal of ending the long-standing conflict. Even if that means joining forces with Iska, one of the Empire's strongest warriors and her greatest rival.
