Otogi Zoshi: The Legend of Magatama - S01

The story takes place in 972 A.D. in Kyoto, the capital of ancient Japan. The city has grown corrupt and decaying, filled with greedy samurai and onmyoji who only seek political power. To make things worse, famine and disease plague the land. Troubled by the city’s decline, the Imperial Court sends the famed archer Minamoto no Raiko to retrieve a legendary gem rumored to have the power to save the world. But Raiko falls ill, leaving his youngest sister, Hikaru, to secretly take his place. Along her journey for the gem, Hikaru encounters many people and faces countless adventures.
