Oedo Fire Slayer -The Legend of Phoenix- - S01

The samurai known as "the fire-eating bird" for stopping a great fire was once Edo's finest firefighter. Matsunaga Gengo, who had left the fire brigade for personal reasons, is unexpectedly invited to lead the struggling Shinjo clan's firefighting team. Poorly funded and shunned by others, the group is in shambles. With his wife Miyuki's support, Gengo takes charge, determined to rebuild the team alongside his eccentric comrades. Despite being mocked as the "ragged steeplejacks" (or "Boro-Tobi-Gumi"),they strive to save every life they can. Meanwhile, Edo is plagued by a series of mysterious blazes called "foxfires."
