Set in Japan’s Sengoku era, Rantarou, Kirimaru, and Shinbei are students at the Ninjutsu Academy, a school where kids train to become ninjas. Called "Nintamas" (short for "ninja" and "tama," meaning "egg"),the trio and their classmates must master all sorts of unusual skills to succeed. But it’s not easy-the three keep stumbling through their lessons and failing their classes. Between the tough instructors like Doi-sensei and Yamada-sensei, the prank-loving girls from the Kunoichi class, a whole gang of pirates, and countless other odd characters, life at the academy is anything but predictable. Each episode runs just seven and a half minutes, and with 29 seasons so far-each typically containing 60 to 90 episodes-there’s no shortage of chaotic Nintama adventures.
