Two and a half years have passed since Naruto Uzumaki left Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf Village, to train after events that drove him to seek greater strength. Now the shadowy group Akatsuki, made up of powerful rogue ninja, is nearing the completion of a dangerous plan that could put the entire shinobi world at risk. Though Naruto is older and darker threats approach, his personality remains much the same-still loud and immature-yet he’s grown more self-assured and even more resolved to defend his friends and village. No matter what comes, Naruto will keep fighting for what matters to him, even if it means putting his own life on the line, as the story of the boy who dreams of becoming Hokage continues.
