Muv-Luv Alternative - S01

Cadet Takeru Shirogane returns to his original world with the help of Professor Yuuko Kouzuki's technology and Kasumi Yashiro's psychic abilities. Determined to act quickly, Takeru seeks Yuuko's assistance in his own world to finish the Alternative IV project-humanity's final defense against the invading alien species known as the BETA. As the project nears completion, Takeru and his fellow cadets graduate from the Yokohama pilot training academy. During a test of the new operating system for the Tactical Surface Fighters-massive combat suits used to battle the BETA-Takeru and his team are ambushed. He barely escapes alive but is left deeply scarred after watching a close friend die in the attack. Overcome with despair, Takeru retreats to the other world, only to face a similar tragedy there. Yuuko's theory suggests that people from parallel worlds are destined to endure matching fates. To protect those he cares about, Takeru must find the strength to confront his trauma and fight on.
