Mushi-Uta - S01

The story of "Mushi-uta" is set in the near future. A decade before the events begin, mysterious insect-like beings called "Mushi" started appearing. These creatures feed on people’s dreams and thoughts, granting supernatural abilities in exchange. In the first episode, the protagonist, Daisuke "Kakkou" Kusuriya, meets a girl named Shiika Anmoto, and the two gradually grow close. But Kakkou doesn’t know Shiika escaped from a hidden prison called GARDEN, where those infected by Mushi-known as Mushitsuki-are imprisoned. GARDEN’s elite military unit, the Special Environmental Conservation Executive Office, sends its deadliest assassin after her. Standing in their way is the Mushibane resistance group, led by the enigmatic "Ladybird."
