Sawako Machida, who insists on being called "Miss Bernard," is often seen in the school library with a book in hand. But whether she’s actually read any of them is another story. She admits she finds reading too much effort and prefers to just look the part of a bookworm. However, the library is also home to genuine book lovers who aren’t thrilled with her casual attitude toward their favorite stories. As Sawako fakes her way through literary discussions among these quirky bibliophiles, she unexpectedly starts picking up a thing or two-and maybe even forms a few real friendships in the process.
