Mieruko-chan - S01

Miko Yotsuya's eyes well up as she stares at a single spot on her phone, ignoring yet another grotesque monster looming inches from her face, whispering the unsettling question: "Can you see me?" Until recently, Miko lived an ordinary high school life, treating late-night horror shows as mere entertainment. But after a strange turn of events, she became the only one who could see the invisible monsters walking among humans. Determined, Miko makes a vow: she will never, no matter what, acknowledge the terrifying creatures. Even as she pretends they aren't there, she can't ignore how they torment those around her-especially her cheerful best friend, Hana Yurikawa. To shield others from the monsters' unsettling presence, Miko does her best to carry on with school life, avoiding every frightening encounter, even when they leave her trembling in fear.
