Mekakucity Actors - S01

On a sweltering August 14th, Shintarou Kisaragi steps outside for the first time in two years. After bickering with Ene-the digital girl living in his computer-he accidentally spills soda on his keyboard. With most stores closed for the Obon festival, they have no choice but to brave the outside world and visit a nearby department store for a replacement. Shintarou is deeply uneasy about leaving his room, but the idea of losing his computer is even more unbearable. Unfortunately, his rare outing takes a turn for the worse when he gets caught in a dangerous hostage crisis. A group of teenagers called the "Mekakushi Dan," each with strange eye-based abilities, come to his aid and help defuse the situation. As a consequence, Shintarou and Ene are pulled into their circle. Their powers fit together like pieces of a puzzle, and as their individual pasts come to light, the hidden truth connecting them all begins to unravel.
