Marco: Carry a Dream

In 19th-century Genoa, Italy, nine-year-old Marco is left behind when his mother, Anna, travels to Argentina for work, hoping to escape crushing taxes and economic hardship. Staying with his father-a doctor at a hospital for the poor-Marco struggles with her absence. When Anna’s letters suddenly stop arriving, Marco grows worried and resolves to find her, embarking on a grueling 10,000-mile journey alone. Armed only with love, courage, and the kindness of strangers, he crosses oceans and mountains, driven by his longing to reunite with his mother. Along the way, Marco’s journey becomes more than just a search-it’s a path to growing up, testing his spirit as he travels through unknown lands.
