March Comes In Like a Lion - S02

Rei Kiriyama is now in his second year of high school, still navigating the challenges of professional shogi and his personal life. Though he once kept to himself, the lively people around him-whether at the shogi hall, his school club, or in his neighborhood-gradually draw him out of his shell. The Kawamoto sisters, Akari, Hinata, and Momo, become especially dear to him, forming a warm, family-like connection. Through these relationships, Rei starts to understand that everyone carries their own struggles, and he learns the value of leaning on others while also offering his support. Yet the path of a professional shogi player is far from simple. Between tournaments, championships, and high-stakes matches, the pressure grows as Rei rises through the ranks and faces increasingly skilled rivals. As he balances his deepening bonds with those closest to him, he continues to search for the meaning behind the game that shapes his life.
