Satoshi "Sasshi" Imamiya, a twelve-year-old convinced his life is falling apart, faces another blow when he loses his prized card collection. Things get worse when he learns his childhood friend, Arumi Asahina, is moving away. But their ordinary troubles vanish when they're suddenly thrown into a series of strange worlds-filled with sci-fi, magic, and war-each one a bizarre version of their hometown.
