Looking Up at the Half-Moon - S01

Ezaki Yuuichi, stuck in the hospital with hepatitis A, is frustrated by his isolation from friends and family. To pass the time, he often sneaks out, only to get scolded or even hit by his nurse. Then he meets Akiba Rika, a girl his age also staying at the hospital. At first, he’s drawn to her beauty, but her personality is far from charming-she’s selfish, moody, and demanding. Yet as they spend more time together, they grow closer, navigating the small joys and struggles of a teenage romance. But their time is bittersweet, shadowed by the knowledge that Rika’s illness doesn’t give her much longer to live.
