Le Chevalier D'Eon - S01

In 18th-century Paris, a coffin floats down the Seine, carrying the body of Lia de Beaumont-a spy for King Louis XV and the sister of the recently knighted D'Eon. When a string of disappearances plagues the city, D'Eon suspects they are linked to his sister's death. Determined to uncover the truth, he joins the secret police to investigate. Their search reveals a conspiracy between French and Russian nobles, driven by a shadowy cult. D'Eon deduces that Lia may have discovered their plot during a mission and was silenced for it. The secret police move to arrest the Duke of Orléans, suspected of leading the conspiracy, but one of their own turns into a monstrous Gargoyle and slaughters the group. D'Eon tries to save the last survivor, only to witness his transformation as well. In the fight that follows, Lia's vengeful spirit possesses D'Eon, seizing control of his body to destroy the Gargoyle. With the truth still hidden, D'Eon must now rally allies to expose the full scale of this supernatural scheme.
