Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life - S01

The Tokise High School Koto Club gave their all at the Kanto Region Traditional Japanese Music Festival, but their uneven performance left them disheartened when the results came in. Despite the disappointment, members Chika Kudou, Satowa Houzuki, Takezou Kurata, Hiro Kurusu, Kouta Mizuhara, Saneyasu Adachi, and Michitaka Sakai refuse to give up. They resolve to hone their skills, fix their mistakes, and aim for a stronger performance in the winter national qualifiers. With their advisor, Suzuka Takinami, now fully supporting them, the group starts to understand the fundamentals of music and improve their koto techniques. Performing more frequently helps them gain the experience they desperately need. Yet as they push toward nationals, new obstacles test their focus. Rival schools and skilled musicians aren’t their only challenges-budding romances and the looming graduation of their seniors add pressure, straining both the team’s determination and the future of the koto club itself.
