Key the Metal Idol - S01

Tokiko Mima, known as "Key," is a 17-year-old robot who looks completely human, living a quiet life in the Japanese countryside. When her grandfather, Dr. Murao Mima, dies, he leaves her with a final wish: she can become a real girl if she makes thirty thousand friends. Determined to fulfill his request, Key leaves Mamio Valley for bustling Tokyo, where she reunites with her childhood friend, Sakura Kuriyagawa. Key soon becomes fascinated by the idol singer Miho Utsuse and wonders if pursuing fame could help her gain enough friends to become human. However, Miho hides a dark secret-she's tied to Jinsaku Ajou, an old enemy of Dr. Mima who is developing dangerous robotic weapons. As Key chases her dream, Ajou sets a sinister plan in motion, and she begins to realize there’s far more to her own existence than she ever knew.
