Karas

Humans and demons (youkai) exist in overlapping worlds-humans go about their lives unaware, while demons walk unseen along the same streets. Yurine, a seemingly young woman, and her servant, the Karas ("Crow"),have long preserved the balance between these worlds, preventing demons from disturbing human lives. But over time, humans have grown dismissive of demons, mocking their existence and taking their safety for granted. Disgusted by this arrogance, an old Karas named Eko abandons his duty and, in human form, builds an army of mechanized demons called Mikura, preparing to strike against humanity. Otoha, a young man, inherits the power of the Karas and joins Yurine, who says his soul called out to her while he lived as a human. Now, he must prove himself as a Karas and stop Eko from destroying the fragile balance. At the same time, a superstitious police officer, Sagisaka, and his logical partner, Kure, investigate murders committed by Eko's Mikura, as well as a rogue Mikura named Nue. Their pursuit leads them toward a grim prophecy that will shake the city to its core.
