Kamichu! - S01

Yurie Hitotsubashi is an ordinary middle school girl living in the quiet port city of Onomichi during the 1980s. Her biggest concerns are passing exams and getting the attention of Kenji, a clueless boy she has a crush on. But one day, she casually tells her friend Mitsue that she became a goddess the night before. Their classmate Matsuri sees an opportunity in Yurie’s unexpected divinity-her family’s struggling Shinto shrine could use a fresh start. Hoping to attract more visitors (and money),Matsuri pushes Yurie to replace their ineffective local god, Yashima-sama. Now, as Matsuri takes on the role of her manager, Yurie finds herself granting wishes, breaking curses, meeting aliens, and even attending god conventions-all while juggling school and her nervous attempts to confess her feelings to Kenji.
