The VENUS Program is a fair, AI-driven idol ranking system that evaluates candidates based on data. The annual VENUS Grand Prix uses these algorithms to determine the next big stars in the industry. Among all past participants, none shone brighter than Mana Nagase-until a tragic accident cut her career short during the tournament finals. Years after Mana's death, her former manager, Kouhei Makino, still works at Hoshimi Productions. Hoping to assemble a new idol group, he begins interviewing candidates. To his surprise, one applicant is Kotono Nagase, Mana's younger sister, who trains under her sister's old mentor to honor her legacy. Another is Sakura Kawasaki, whose voice bears an uncanny resemblance to Mana's. Both Kotono and Sakura pass the auditions, joining eight other hopeful girls. Living together in a dorm, the ten members learn to work as a team while navigating the harsh realities of the idol world. Driven by ambition, they push forward, aiming for the top.
