Masahiro Setagawa is a timid teenager who gets pushed around by local bullies, forced to run their errands. He's resigned to the fact that no one will ever stand up for him-until he crosses paths with Kousuke Ooshiba, a tough guy with a reputation for dismantling gangs, nicknamed the "Bear Killer." A year later, Masahiro and his old friend Kensuke Ooshiba start high school, only to discover Kousuke is now their math teacher. As the three bond, Masahiro begins to see Kousuke as his hero, while Kousuke feels an overwhelming need to shield him. But their quiet routine is disrupted when Asaya Hasekura, Kensuke's childhood friend, returns with unexpected feelings for him. Now, their ordinary high school life is thrown into question.
