His and Her Circumstances - S01

Yukino Miyazawa is the class representative and the most admired freshman at her high school. Skilled in both studies and sports, with a poised and friendly demeanor, she has always been seen as flawless. But beneath the surface, she is deeply vain, working tirelessly to uphold her perfect grades, athletic ability, and polished image. She craves constant praise and attention-which is why she resents Souichirou Arima, the male class representative and the only person who outshines her. From the moment they started high school, she has tried and failed to outdo him. Finally, Yukino scores higher than Souichirou on the midterm exams. Instead of resentment, he congratulates her, making her doubt the facade she’s built. When he confesses his feelings, she rejects him and mocks his sincerity-though with a twinge of guilt. But the next day, Souichirou shows up at her home and catches her in her true, unrestrained state. Armed with this knowledge, he blackmails her into helping with his student council work. Forced to spend time together, Yukino discovers that Souichirou has his own hidden truths.
