Makoto Niwa keeps careful track of his positive and negative teenage experiences, treating them like a scorecard for his life. When his parents move abroad, he relocates to a new town to live with his aunt, eager for a fresh start. But no matter how ordinary he expected his adolescence to be, he never imagined having a mysterious long-lost cousin. Upon arriving at his aunt's house, he meets Erio Touwa, a girl his age who couldn’t be more unlike him. Erio spends her days wrapped in a futon instead of going to school and insists she’s an alien-her odd speech and behavior only reinforcing the claim. Any hope Makoto had for a normal life vanishes the moment he meets her. As he encounters more peculiar girls around town, Makoto worries his "youth points" might plunge into the negative. But he soon learns that an unusual adolescence might just turn out to be far more exciting than he ever expected.
